Montage - Spree Park, Berlin

During the GDR regime, Spree Park was the only amusement park in Berlin, attracting millions of visitors. Since 2001 it's been closed and left to deteriorate due to bankruptcy.

In April 2014 the city of Berlin bought the park for about €2 million.

An arson attack burned down some of the parks old, wooden houses and has given the new owners a better reason for cleaning out the area completely.
